The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is the middle school level of the National Honor Society. This group is the premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle school students. This is more than just an honor roll: NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Character and Citizenship.
NJHS at Barbers Hill Middle School North
The Barbers Hill Middle School North NJHS follows the guidelines of the National Organization and the bylaws set by the local chapter.

Eligibility
To be eligible for membership at the Barbers Hill Middle School North chapter of NJHS, you must meet five specific standards.
Scholarship
Candidates must meet one of the following grading standards. Students enrolled in one PreAP class must obtain a cumulative average of 93.75. Students enrolled in two PreAP classes must obtain a cumulative average of 92.5. Student in three PreAP classes must obtain a cumulative average of 91.25 and those in four PreAP classes must obtain a 90 cumulative average. Those enrolled in all regular education classes must obtain an overall 95 average.
Service
Students should show some evidence or interest to doing community service.
Character, Leadership and Citizenship
Recommendations from your teachers and other evidence.
