Middle School Bands Achieve Top Honors at UIL Region 19 Concert & Sight Reading Contest

Goose Creek Memorial High School hosted last week's Middle School Band Concert and Sight Reading Contest, welcoming musicians from ten campuses across our region. Over two days, the students showcased their musical preparation in concert selections and demonstrated their adaptability during the rigorous sight-reading segment of the competition.

BHHS Hosts Region 19 UIL Middle School Choir Contest

Barbers Hill High School proudly hosted the Region 19 UIL Middle School Choir Concert & Sight Reading Contest on March 4, welcoming more than 400 talented vocalists from Barbers Hill ISD and Goose Creek CISD for a day of musical excellence, where choirs performed prepared concert selections and demonstrated their musicianship through the challenging sight-reading portion of the contest.

School board OKs $95 million fieldhouse bond election

The Barbers Hill ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously Monday night to call a $95 million bond election in May to renovate athletic facilities in response to continued enrollment growth and the district’s transition to Class 6A, the state’s largest school classification.
