On March 27, Barbers Hill High School proudly hosted the Middle School Region 19 UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Choir Contest. Choirs from our own Barbers Hill Middle School North and Middle School South, along with five other schools from across the region, competed in this prestigious event.
Barbers Hill made history with a record six choirs participating — four from Middle School North and two from Middle School South — representing the highest number of students our district has ever entered into the contest. Our students' hard work and dedication truly shone, with five choirs earning superior ratings and four receiving coveted UIL Sweepstakes awards.
Congratulations to all of our talented students and directors for their outstanding performances and for representing BHISD with excellence!
This week, Barbers Hill’s band programs proudly competed at UIL events across the region. Our middle school bands traveled to Goose Creek Memorial High School, while our high school bands performed at Dobie High School.
In total, Barbers Hill Middle School North, Middle School South, and Barbers Hill High School had nine bands compete — and every single group earned superior ratings, culminating in Sweepstakes awards!
We are extremely proud of the outstanding performances by our students and extend our sincere appreciation to our directors for their unwavering dedication and commitment to excellence in music education.
